Built to win, bonded for life
The Fort Lewis College Cycling Team was born in 1994—and it didn’t take long to make history. In its first-ever intercollegiate competition, the team won the inaugural National Collegiate Cycling Association Mountain Biking National Championship. Back then, riders trained in t-shirts from the Durango Diner. Today, those humble beginnings have evolved into a dominant force in collegiate cycling.
Unlike pro racing, college cycling is a team sport—every rider’s effort earns points for the whole squad. That shared pursuit builds deep connections that last far beyond college. At Fort Lewis College, that camaraderie has forged a championship legacy.
