Bands attending the Jazz Festival can receive discounted tickets to Wednesday’s concert.

Jazz Festival features middle and high school jazz bands performing throughout the day, culminating in an evening concert beginning with the top jazz bands of the day and ending with the 麻豆免费高清无砖码区Jazz band performing with Terence Blanchard. (Thursday concert is free).

Jazz Band registration

Are you a school band interested in performing at the Jazz Festival?

• Fee: $200 per band
  
• Schedule: Bands are scheduled every 30 minutes, and your time is 90 minutes, including warm-up, performance, and clinic.
  • (Example: Band I: warm-up at 9:00 a.m., perform at 9:30 a.m., clinic at 10:00 a.m.)
• Warm up: Jones 253 is scheduled 30 minutes before their performance.
• Perform: Each band has 25 minutes on the Concert Hall Stage, including setting up, performing, and exiting the stage.
  • You do not need to provide scores and will not be asked to sight-read.
• Clinic with an adjudicator: Each band has a 25-minute clinic in the Jones 209 - Band room following their performance.
• Forms: Please fill out and email the following two forms to music@fortlewis.edu no later than one week before the festival.
  • Repertoire List - (list of pieces your band will perform, including a list of soloists/instruments)
  • Seating Chart - (chart of students' names/grade/instrument and microphone placements required)

  • Bass Amp
  • Drum Set
  • Vibraphone
  • Congas
