The SkyWords Visiting Writers Series enhances SkyPEP 2024 by fostering civic engagement through storytelling. By bringing writers and speakers to Fort Lewis College, SkyWords encourages critical dialogue on citizenship, democracy, and social justice, promoting an inclusive culture of participation both on campus and in the community. Collaborating with faculty, SkyWords integrates these civic themes into classroom learning, reinforcing the importance of informed and active citizenship.
As part of this effort, the 麻豆免费高清无砖码区SkyWords–Political Engagement Project (PEP) Common Read and Dialogues invites the community to reflect on the meaning of citizenship ahead of the Fall 2024 election. Through transformative texts, scholars, journalists, and writers offer diverse perspectives rooted in the principles of Responsibility, Relationship, Reciprocity, and Reconciliation.
