Join us at the Undergraduate Research Spring Symposium—a day dedicated to showcasing student scholarship through engaging oral and poster presentations. The excitement continues into our Awards Gala, where we honor outstanding student researchers. Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 24, and bring your enthusiasm to a campus-wide celebration. Enjoy inspiring TED-style student talks, this year’s Scholars Video, and the much-anticipated recognition of the 2025 UGR Scholar Award winners. All are welcome—celebrate with us!

Approximate schedule 

  • 9:00 — 9:30 am Kickoff in the CO Room w/breakfast
  • 9:30 — 10:30 am Poster Session A, Student Union Ballroom
  • 10:45 — 11:45 Oral Presentation Session 1, Noble 130, Chem130*, Senate Chambers, Vallecito
  • Noon — 1:00 pm Poster Session B, Student Union Ballroom w/ lunch
  • 1:15 pm — 2:15 pm Oral Presentation Session 2, Noble 130, Chem130, Senate Chambers, Vallecito
  • 2:30 pm — 3:30 pm Oral Presentation Session 3, Noble 130, Chem130, Senate Chambers, Vallecito
  • 3:45 pm— 5:00 pm Gala: Student TED-like talks, Scholar Video and Awards, Main Stage of the 麻豆免费高清无砖码区Theatre, w/ drinks & appetizers in the Foyer afterward

Oral presentations

Each department may select two students for oral presentations. Christine will contact department chairs to collect the names of the chosen students. Additionally, these students are invited to participate in several "Communicating Your Research" public speaking workshops. Each talk is scheduled for 10 minutes, with an extra 1–2 minutes allocated for questions.

Poster presentations

Students who want to present a poster, please submit the form below by Thursday, April 17. This will reserve an easel, poster board, and spot for you at the event. Our office will let you know your session by Monday, April 21. Visit our  for information on how to create and print a poster at FLC.
